1. Purpose
Sabeeli Marketplace supports NGOs and humanitarian projects with procurement and service contracting. This policy sets expectations for returns, refunds, cancellations, and dispute resolution to protect all parties, donors, and beneficiaries.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Physical goods purchased through the marketplace
- Services and project-based work contracted via Sabeeli
- Requests for Quotation (RFQs), orders, and agreements made on the platform
3. General Principles
- Refund eligibility depends on the transaction type and execution status.
- Many orders support time-sensitive humanitarian needs; not all transactions can be refunded.
- Clear documentation and timely reporting are essential for claim review.
4. Physical Goods – Returns
You may request a return if:
- The item arrives damaged or defective
- The item does not match agreed specifications
- You report the issue within [7–14] days of delivery
- The item is unused and in original condition (unless defective)
Non-returnable items may include:
- Custom-made or project-specific items
- Perishable goods
- Items already used or distributed in humanitarian operations
5. Services & Project Work
Services are generally non-refundable once fully or partially delivered. Refunds may be considered if:
- The service was not delivered at all
- The delivered work significantly deviates from agreed scope
- Milestones were missed without valid justification
6. Cancellations
Buyer cancellation:
- Possible before shipping or execution begins
- Cancellation fees may apply if work/procurement has started
Seller cancellation:
- Seller must provide a valid reason
- Refunds may be full or partial depending on progress
7. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method when possible
- Refunds typically take 7–14 business days
- Platform or processing fees may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated
8. Disputes & Resolution
If a dispute occurs:
- Parties should first attempt direct resolution
- If unresolved, Sabeeli may intervene as a neutral facilitator
- Supporting evidence may be required (messages, invoices, delivery notes, photos, etc.)
9. Donations & Crowdfunding
If a project is canceled, funds may be reassigned to a similar project or returned when legally possible. Donors will be notified transparently.
10. Abuse & Misuse
Abuse of the refund process (false claims, repeated dishonest disputes, manipulation) may result in refund denial, account restriction, or termination.
11. Platform Role & Limitations
Sabeeli operates as a technology facilitator and is not a party to buyer–seller contracts unless explicitly stated. Sabeeli is not responsible for issues caused by third-party providers or external circumstances.
12. Policy Updates
Sabeeli may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
